Looking for real people and animals to model for funny photographic greeting cards!
If you’ve ever wanted to see yourself on an Avanti greeting card, this could be your chance!
At Avanti, we specialize in creating funny photographic images, inspired by real life situations that are used on greeting cards to celebrate the humor in our everyday lives. Our humorous cards are sold in 30 countries and 12 languages around the world.
We are looking for “everyday“people as models for our card images. We are not looking for catalog-cute people and toddlers. We are looking for "characters" - we want real people who have an authentic and relatable look that can be quirky and funny and have the ability to portray different attitudes and expressions! We like toddlers that have expressive faces that almost feel adult-like. Again – we are not looking for idealized flawless people – we want regular everyday expressive folks to portray characters in our cards.
In addition to people characters, our concepts frequently require that we hire domestic animals - cats, dogs, litters of kittens or puppies, rabbits, ducks, geese, chickens, as long as they’re people friendly, we are willing to review their pictures for consideration. We are very animal friendly. No animals are harmed in the production of our images – a lot of magic takes place after the photo shoots to get the animals to look like they are in the situations we portray.
It’s all about characters and expressive attitudes!
We are looking for candidates in the tri-state area since most of the photo shoots are held there: New York City, Long Island, Connecticut and Eastern New Jersey. To be considered as a model for one of our cards, please follow the submission guidelines listed below.
Submission Guidelines:
- Please send two low-resolution full body and portrait photographs to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your preferred contact information. (these photographs will not be returned, and may be discarded after review. Do not send original art.
- Our Casting Team will review candidate submissions and contact suitable matches only. (Sorry, we cannot contact every submission)
- At that point we may ask you to come into our office for an official casting shoot.
- Your photograph and likeness will not be published or used commercially by Avanti Press without a signed comprehensive model release.
