Commission / Chargeback Policy

  • Avanti Press offers 12% commission for rep-written seasonal shipments (invoice value after any discounts) including Auto Avanti. 
  • There are no commission chargebacks on seasonal returns for Avanti sales agencies.  

 

Finding Customers Without Seasonal Orders

Need a fast way to see who doesn’t have an order? Use the Customers w/o seasonal orders report on ABO – it will show you the rooftops in your territory that have yet to book or receive an order.

Go to the Seasonal Tools tab on ABO
The second choice in the menu is “customer w/o seasonal orders “
A fillable form appears that lets you choose which holidays and which stores you want to review within your territory
By adjusting the information in the drop down boxes – you can ask the report for

  • “Both” as there are some Key accounts you are responsible for ( UPS and Party City Franchise stores)
  • Ask for Both Auto and Non Auto if you want to see ALL the rooftops that don’t have orders. 
  • NOTE: When looking at Auto customers you may not see the exact card order for future seasons until 4 top 6 weeks before the holiday ships
  • Enter a beginning date range ( this is so the report doesn’t pick up last years orders ) May 1 works
  • Pick the season you want reported – i.e. HALLOWEEN CARDS – Don’t pick the whole category

Choose either PDF or EXCEL and hit submit
In less than 30 seconds you will have a list of customers without seasonal orders – note you can see the level customer on the far right.


 

 

Seasonal Returns Process

For Program Customers
Avanti program customers are entitled to a 100% return privilege on seasonal product. Seasonal product must be returned to Avanti at the retailer’s shipping expense before that season’s return deadline. The deadline to return Spring product is July 15th. The deadline to return fall product is February 15th. Upon receipt of returned product Avanti will issue a credit memo for application toward future invoices as directed by the account. Avanti will not accept returns sent after the deadline dates.

While it is the retailer’s responsibility to pay shipping costs to return seasonal product to Avanti it is appropriate for the sales representative to assist the retailer in this process by reminding them of the return deadline and perhaps even assisting with pulling the cards from the display and filling out the Product Exchange Form in accordance with the retailer’s need for assistance.

The sales representative has the authority to remove unsold seasonal product from the store and fax the Product Exchange form to Avanti just as would be done with everyday product. This eliminates the need for the customer to return the product.

When the sales rep is implementing the seasonal return process the product does not need to be returned to Avanti. Donate it or recycle it as you would everyday product. It is not necessary for the retailer to return category header cards or envelopes. Avanti only needs to receive the cards for which the account expects credit.

IMPORTANT: Always return at least one card for every customer. When there are zero returns on an account our algorithm is thrown off and won't recognize the performance history. If you had total sell through, just make up 1 return! This data will accurately drive unit upgrades in future shipments.


 

Auto Avanti Seasonal Program


Program customers can sign up for Avanti’s “Auto Avanti” program. They will receive automatic shipments of the seasons they sign up for throughout the year, including a summer promotion. Customers receive 100% return privileges as per Avanti’s seasonal return policy. Customers select either a 24 pocket floor or 15 pocket counter display at no charge for the display. (Shipping charges on the display will apply). The customer must select a minimum of 5 holidays chosen in 12’s or 6’s of each image. Avanti studies sell-through percentages and adjusts pre-pack sizes as needed.

Auto Avanti Summer 2023

For the summer months, your Auto Avanti Summer subscribers will receive cards (shipping 6/08/2023) to fill their display between the weeks following Father's Day and the Halloween shipment (shipping 08/24/2023). Summer Cards will impact Goal Getter reports when orders are loaded in April (sometimes May) and commission timeline is based on order ship date.
 
The Summer 2023 Auto Avanti program will continue to offer options for your retailers. Based on rep feedback and retailer success with America, a NEW Avanti Brand assortment will be the default with the alternate option being Best of America, including cards from the latest releases. The deadline to make these selections was in March, 2023. 

 


  
 
 

How to Make Your Summer Selection

On your Customer Listing or Service Calendar, there is an easy toggle that is available on the Auto Avanti link (See below for an example).

Your retailer’s primary Auto Avanti offering will reflect the America Option. The option will be considered the primary offering for 2022. Depending on what you decide for each retailer, you can modify. The deadline to check the Alternate Option box: March 8, 2023 (deadline has passed).
IF your retailer shows as OPT for Summer, go to ABO Seasonal Tools/Auto Avanti Signup to add Summer.
 
 
Easy Toggle is set to America as default. Click Avanti if you need to change it.
